The Little Garden Club of Rye held their 30th Anniversary Daffodil Show on Thursday, April 14th at The Jay Heritage Center's Carriage House. The show was approved by the American Daffodil Society, Inc.
Mother Nature gave the daffodils a wild ride to the show bench however she cooperated by providing a bright, sunny day for the show.
There were a total of 272 stems exhibited in the show by a total of 23 participants, 8 of these being club members.
Three Club Awards were given out:
The Nancy Georgi Farrall Award for the most entries by a LGCR member was given to Cheryl Adler, the Anne Berntsen Award for most blue ribbons by a LGCR member was awarded to Marilyn Donahue and Chris Murray and the George and Robin Russell Award for highest number of different cultivars was given to Chris Murray.
The show was open to the public from 1:30-4:00 PM and a steady stream of visitors enjoyed the show.
