Leopold, Distinguished Teaching Professor and Chair Department of Environmental and Forest Biology SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry joins us for an insightful lecture on native plants . The Untermyer Gardens Conservancy Winter Lecture: ​The Islamic Garden as Sacred Art




Emma Clark, a lecturer at the Prince's Foundation School for traditional arts and a renowned garden designer, will present an virtual illustrated lecture on the Islamic garden as sacred art and its ability to bridge cultures. Her work focuses on gardens as sacred spaces and her designs include the garden for the Cambridge Mosque and the Persian garden at Prince Charles' Highgrove.

Open to All GCA Club members

The first ever, GCA Floral Design Conference "Springtide" will be held virtually on April 8th and everyone is encouraged to attend. Please extend this invitation to your entire membership since the presentations will be both highly enjoyable and educationally instructive, no matter the level of experience, or the lack thereof, in floral design.

So, save the date, then, on the 8th, pull up a comfortable chair and enjoy both the wonderfully beautiful and timely skill-based presentations. From newcomer, to novice, to award winners...there are sights and skills to be favored, worthwhile and appreciated across the range of experiences and/ or interests.

Explore Kusama’s eternal love for plants through multiple installations featuring her multifaceted art across NYBG’s 250-acre landmark landscape and buildings—including a seasonally changing flower show in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory and her nature-based paintings and biomorphic collages in the LuEsther T. Mertz Library.
